Atlantic Shores Heating & Cooling of Suffolk has announced the winner of its “Old as Ice” contest to find the oldest working air conditioning unit in Hampton Roads. The winner received a York infinity 18 seer air conditioner and matching coil, as well as installation and a ten year parts and labor warranty, courtesy of Atlantic Shores Heating & Cooling.
Dominic Ullom of Chesapeake was declared winner of the “Old as Ice” contest with his 44-year-old air conditioning unit installed in 1966. (The average lifespan of an HVAC system is 14-18 years.)

Homeowners with a central, ducted air conditioning system residing in Norfolk , Portsmouth , Virginia Beach, Chesapeake , Suffolk , Isle of Wight, Windsor , Hampton or Newport News were eligible to win.
